Ebay is a wonderful online auction site. You can find unique, one of a kind items, or sell all sorts of stuff. Customers bid on the stuff for sale and try to win at a good price. Many people find that selling their stuff on Ebay is easy and profitable.

Maybe you’re like me, and you have tons of stuff lying around your house that you don’t use or need anymore. I would love to have a garage sale, but this poses a problem- I live in an apartment and don’t have a garage! Ebay lets me sell all of the stuff I don’t need anymore and make a little bit of money. Some people have even made businesses out of selling stuff on Ebay! You don’t need a fancy web page in order to have a successful online business because of Ebay.

Ebay has revolutionized the way we shop. Here are some statistics about the online auction:

-Ebay has over 212 million registered users
-Ebay manages about 105 million listings with over 1 billion photographs
-There is an average of over 1 billion page views per day
-Worldwide users trade an average of $1590 worth of goods per second
Ebay is available in 33 countries, offered in seven languages, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Not many stores (online or otherwise) can boast this massive growth. Where else can you have that many people looking at your items to be sold? You are given huge exposure for not a lot of money.

There are many people who have used Ebay to their advantage. Many non-profit organizations sell items on Ebay to raise money for their charity. One teddy-bear maker started selling stuffed animals for about $30 each on Ebay, and now her bears sell for $100-$300 each. (Ebay for E-Commerce)
